Confident dress style

CONFIDENT IN YOUR DRESS STYLE
Ralph Lauren suggests that fashion is something that comes from inside within you. We agree that some people just have it; they look effortlessly stylish whatever they wear. Unfortunately, no method fits all, but here are some tips to help you make better clothes decisions and boost your style.
Stylish
Stylish is confidence and means, more than anything being truthful to yourself. Rather than following fast-changing fashion trends, decide on personal aesthetics. Ultimately, you want to look into the mirror and recognise and embrace yourself.
Dress for your proportions. Be realistic, understand your body shape, and choose the clothes that work well and flutter you the most. Understanding your strengths and emphasising them is vital.
To look stylish and sophisticated, have your clothes fitted, at least your signature pieces, by a tailor or seamstress that understands your dress style and supports you. It reflects style and confidence and is evidence of the concept of self-care.
Timeless
Choose a timeless and classic base wardrobe rather than running with fashion trends. But, of course, you can always vamp up a classic look with trendy accessories, shoes, a handbag, a stylish belt, or a scarf to add edge and individuality.
Create a capsule wardrobe, a collection of garments you can mix, match, and use as building blocks to create different looks. Items of a capsule wardrobe are outerwear, denim, knitwear, a blouse or shirt, a belt, a suit, or a dress. It provides a structure for quick decisions and safe choices.
Vary with colour and texture but stay truthful to silhouettes you know work well with your body shape. Be aware of how you choose a colour. It can create drama and calm. Decide what you want to achieve with intention, and use a colour wheel to make good decisions.
Some expressive signature garments set the tone and allow you to stay on budget with basics. Be creative and aware of what you are looking for when shopping. A piece of good advice is – don’t buy anything unless you have three items in your wardrobe you can wear with them.
